today is a good day in so many ways. above all, though, today is good because this amazing gift of everlasting life that i take hope in. one day soon we will be reunited in heaven & will get to praise God at His very feet. so thankful for the gift of grace & mercy that the Heavenly Father saw fit to give such a sinner like me.
for God so loved the world, that He gave His one & only Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.

a simple verse, yes. one that even the littlest children can remember, yes. it goes so much deeper than most people give it credit. thankful beyond words that the Lord gave up someone He loved so deeply to rescue us.
